WILTON — Police are investigating six car burglaries that occurred in Wilton’s downtown area over the weekend.
Four of the reported burglaries involved cars parked in the public lot behind the Brookside Gym on Main Street, and two were reported to have occurred on Curve Street, according to Wilton Police Chief Heidi Wilcox.
In all, a laptop, a navigation system, a tool chest and a backpack have been reported stolen. All of the cars were unlocked at the time, and there was no damage to any of the cars, Wilcox said.
Police are looking for a white man, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with brown hair, who was seen in the area of the burglaries.
