AUGUSTA — A Brooksville, Florida, man was convicted by a jury Friday of operating under the influence.

Joseph S. Ames, 47, was sentenced to seven days in jail and fined $750 following a two-day trial held at the Capital Judicial Center. His driver’s license was suspended for 150 days.

The offense occurred May 25, 2014, in Randolph.
