A 27-year-old Auburn woman remained in critical condition Saturday at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with injuries sustained when the car she was riding in hit a moose on Maine Turnpike in Gray.

Taylor Norcross received severe head injuries in the crash near the Gray exit in the northbound lane around 8 p.m. Wednesday. She has been put in a medically induced coma.

Norcross was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan operated by her fiancée, Frank Gatto, 39, of Auburn who owns Bay City Motors in Portland. He was not injured.
