Police in York County are trying to locate a man whose probation has been revoked and who is considered dangerous, according to Sanford police.

Christopher William Gonyer, 40, was last seen when he fled the Biddeford probation office on Nov. 4. Gonyer is on probation for three counts of aggravated assault and assault on an officer stemming from a 2006 incident in which he stabbed the mother of his children and a Sanford police officer.

Gonyer has ties to Sanford and Old Orchard Beach, as well as Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Sandwich, New Hampshire.

Anyone with information about Gonyer’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Eric Small at 324-9170, ext. 227. Anonymous tips can be sent to police by texting SANFORD to CRIMES (274637), followed by information about Gonyer’s location.
