Maine drug agents dismantled a methamphetamine lab inside a mobile home in Washington County on Wednesday, adding to the state’s record-breaking year.
Public safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said in a press release that the drug operation was discovered when Washington County sheriff deputies went to the residence in Wesley to serve a warrant.
The home, on busy Route 9 near the intersection of Route 192, was searched late Wednesday and drug agents found evidence that meth was being made inside, according to McCausland.
No one has been charged.
So far in 2015, Maine drug agents have responded 54 times to reports of meth production, by far an all-time record.
