Mark and Julie O’Brien, of Augusta, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Brittany May O’Brien, to Joseph Lajoie, son of John and Deborah Lajoie, of Augusta, and Valerie Lajoie, of Augusta.
Brittany, of Sidney, is a 2006 graduate of Cony High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Maine, where she received a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She plans to receive her master’s degree in education from Thomas College in May 2016. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Hussey School in Augusta.
Joseph, also of Sidney, is a 2006 graduate of Cony High School and a 2010 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, where he received a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He is employed as a project manager by Lajoie Bros. Inc., in Augusta.
A June 11, 2016, wedding is planned.
