MERCER — The Sandy River Ramblers, an acoustic band in central Maine, will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Mercer Community Center, 1015 Beech Hill Road.
The Ramblers feature instrumental skills on banjo and mandolin, three-part vocal harmony, Maine humor, and songs about Maine. Nationally-known songwriter Stan Keach writes most of the original songs the Ramblers perform.
Julie Churchill Davenport, 21-year-old singer (and upright bassist), of Livermore Falls is, “one of the best singers in Maine,” according to Keach. Dana Reynolds, 13, is also a very accomplished singer with”the stage presence of a seasoned pro,” according to Keach.
Admission costs $8 for adults, $5 for students, and is free for children 7 and younger.
