A 30-year-old Turner man was killed in a single-car crash in Turner on Friday night, police said.
Jeromy Tanguay was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Turner Center Road, also known as Route 117, at the intersection of Long Meadow Estates in Turner.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department said Tanguay was operating a 2004 Jeep Liberty east on Turner Center Road when it left the road about 11:22 p.m. Friday, went down an embankment, rolled over and came to rest on its roof in the eastbound lane of the road. The accident was reported by a passing motorist.
Tanguay was the sole occupant of the Jeep.
The road was closed for about three hours while emergency workers cleared the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the sheriff’s department.
