DAMARISCOTTA — Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main St, will host its annual Martin Luther King Luncheon at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20.

Participants will celebrate the achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Following the luncheon, Bethany Edmunds, community integration liaison for Catholic Charities of Maine’s Refugee and Immigration Service Program, will reflect on racial and ethnic diversity in Maine.

Recognizing that refugee resettlement is a partnership among equals — the refugee, the resettlement agency, and the community — Catholic Charities Maine Refugee and Immigration Services seeks to encourage and support refugees through the process of becoming responsible, self-reliant members of the community.

Luncheon Reservations are required. Call 563-1363 by 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, for a reservation.

The suggested donation for those older than 60 is $5, for others, a $6 donation is suggested.
