WATERVILLE — A concert of ideas will be celebrated at the next PechaKucha Night Waterville at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Thomas College’s Summit Room of the Spann Student Center, 180 West River Road. PechaKucha Night Waterville is a quarterly event series that has brought thousands of area residents together in celebration of passions and creativity. The event will feature a variety of topics including winter birds, travels to India, gleaning, art guitars and more. The event is free and open to the public. Complimentary refreshments and a cash bar will be provided by Thomas College during an opening reception. Presentations will begin at 7:20 p.m. Snow date: Jan. 30.

PK WTVL is a creative networking event centered on storytelling in 20×20 (20 slides showing for 20 seconds each). Past events have been well attended and provided its own distinctive theme.

The presenters for the event are Noël Bonam, Peter Garrett, Steve Kahl, James Macdonald, Heidi V. Neal, Hannah Semler, Pamela Thompson and Herb Wilson. Thomas College President Laurie Lachance will serve as emcee for the event.
