The Capital Region Salvation Army was able to make this holiday season more joyful for 2,343 less fortunate neighbors because of the generosity of the Augusta and Waterville communities.

Key organizations include: Augusta Rotary, Waterville Sunrise Rotary, Waterville Noontime Rotary, Moody’s Collision, Augusta Kiwanis, Summit Gas, Manchester Lions Club, Manchester Grange, Manchester Community Church, South Parish Church, Kennebec Behavioral Health, Century 21, Coldwell Bankers, Elks Lodge, Messalonskee High School, Knights of Columbus Fairfield, Le Calumet Club, Skowhegan Area High School, PFBF Accounting, Red Robin, Waterville Housing Authority, Winslow Baptist, American Legion Post 5, Mason’s, Waterville 4H Club and Living Innovation.

Volunteers also sorted toys, packed food boxes, wrapped gifts, visited shut-ins, took applications and stood Kettles. The thousands of contributors gave just under $85,000, exceeding the Kettle goal of $80,000.
