Condé Nast Traveler has named Tao Yuan chef/co-owner Cara Stadler on its list of 10 Young Chefs to Watch in 2016, a group of chefs age 30 and under who are “making outsized impressions around the world.”

It’s just the latest of impressive honors for the 27-year-old chef. In the past several years, she has also earned a nomination from the New-York-based James Beard Foundation for Rising Star Chef and she was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef.

The magazine singles out her turmeric-poached halibut with nam prik pao ratatouille, praising it for combining “French technique…Asian flavors, beautiful Maine product.”

In addition to Tao Yuan in Brunswick, Stadler owns Bao Bao Dumpling House in Portland. Other chefs on the list are from cities as far flung as Copenhagen, Berlin, L.A. and Paris.
