ORONO — Popovich Pet Theater takes the stage at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at The Collins Center for the Arts.

For the past nine years, the family-friendly extravaganza has been based at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It includes European-style clowns, juggling and balancing acts and performing pets, including cats and dogs rescued from animal shelters. Popovich, a master animal trainer, employs positive-reinforcement techniques to coach the pets to perform tasks based on their individual personalities and talents, according to a news release from the Collins Center.

The child of Russian circus performers holds the world record in a balancing/juggling feat in which he stands atop a nine-foot, free-standing ladder and juggles nine rings, according to the release.

Tickets cost $22 for adults, $14 for children 12 and younger. For tickets and/or more information, visit www.collinscenterforthearts.com.
