Residents in Thorndike approved a $997,431 municipal budget at the annual town meeting March 19.
The budget included an increase of $1,500 for the municipal improvement fund from what was proposed as well as a small increase in funding for the Game Loft in Belfast, a community youth organization, said First Selectman Larry Ward.
Other major items approved included $70,385 as annual payment on the current debt for road paving; $8,000-plus for TRIO software for Town Office computers; and changes to nine town ordinances dealing with land use and subdivisions.
