AUGUSTA — Lithgow Library Summer Reading Program sign-ups are under way and even though the library will be closed and moving this summer the staff hopes to have lots of children participate.

The program is for all ages, those who sign up will receive a card to keep track of reading, a schedule of events at Augusta’s Mill Park, and other goodies. Consider bringing a gently used book to share with one of the Little Free Libraries located around the city when signing up.

The goal is to read for 16 hours. Completed cards will be accepted cards once the library re-opens in its original location at 45 Winthrop St., where participants can claim prizes for completing their goal and visit the new library.
