A malfunctioning boiler sparked a fire at Sappi Fine Papers North America in Westbrook Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported around 7 a.m. at the Sappi building at 300 Warren Ave. No injuries were reported.

A Sappi spokeswoman said the small fire began in a boiler, and that after brief fire-fighting efforts by local fire departments, the mill returned to full operation.

Westbrook police say fire crews from Portland, South Portland, Windham and Gorham assisted at the scene.
