GARDINER — Bishop Avenue will perform at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Johnson Hall’s Free Summer Waterfront Concert Series in Waterfront Park.

Tim Bishop, a Maine songwriter will perform with his trio. Bishop, originally from Dover-Foxcroft, has been singing and writing original music for years and has toured New England with several bands including Avenfield, Bishop Underwood, and Bishop Avenue. He has opened for big acts such as: Edgar Winter, Marshall Tucker, Orleans, The Guess Who and Pousette-Dart.

Performing with Bishop this month will be Christine Poulson, on vocals, guitar and flute, and Roger Sampson, on electric guitar.

Aside from great originals, Bishop Avenue covers music from Crosby Stills Nash, John Hiatt and Marshall Tucker and more.
