Jon Fishman, co-founder and drummer of the rock band Phish, and his family have been living a low-key life on a sustainable farm in Lincolnville, but they’re about to raise their profile in the small coastal town by opening a general store.
Fishman’s wife, Briar Fishman, and business partner Ladleah Dunn of Lincolnville hope to reopen the long-vacant store at 269 Main St. in March 2017.
Dunn said the operation will be a true general store, with general merchandise for sale and tables for dining on pizza and other foods.
The Fishmans, who have five children, have lived in Lincolnville for the past 10 years, at first part time and now full time. Dunn is a Lincolnville selectwoman and farm owner.
The Fishmans first bought the store in 2011, then sold it and recently bought it back. Dunn will serve as general manager of the store.
