A benefit supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Gardiner First Baptist Church, 47 Church St., Gardiner.

Proceeds will benefit Washington’s Second Advent Christian Campground that lost six buildings to the Aug. 22 fire. The buildings included three family cottages, the children’s chapel, a two-story lodge, and the dining hall/kitchen with its industrial equipment. Also damaged by the heat was the siding on the wash room, snack shop and tabernacle. The first building to be replaced will be the dining hall and kitchen.

Donations will be accepted. Those unable to attend and wish to help can send donations to Camp Washington, c/o Mrs. Pam Allen, 2 Deer Lane, Hallowell ME 04347, and designate it as Fire Fund.
