AUGUSTA — The United Volunteers of Maine seeks groups and volunteers for its haunted house set for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 14-15, 21-22, 24-25 and Oct. 28-Nov. 1. All shows will start at 6:30 p.m.

The haunted house will be set up in the old Circuit City building next to Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Marketplace.

Construction has begun with work scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, with an all-day marathon planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Participation will count towards the group’s share. Future work dates will be announced.

Proceeds will benefit local youth and nonprofit groups. The cost to enter the haunted house will be $10 per person.
