AUGUSTA — Daniel Savage’s Company, a living history reenactment unit based out of and in associated with Old Fort Western, will celebrate Armistice Day, a Veterans Day Commemoration, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Old Fort Western, 16 Cony St.

Members of the Daniel Savage’s Company will demonstrate camp life of an 18th Century Revolutionary War Soldier at 10 a.m. Daniel Savage, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, led the original Savage Company, 1777-1779.

A short service followed by the raising of the colors and a musket volley is set for noon. Music will be provided by Phil & Mary Amidon of the Liberty String Band.

Visitors also can enjoy 18th century open hearth and outdoor cooking demonstrations. Coffee, tea, cider and desserts will be offered to veterans.

Admission is free on Veterans Day, however donations are welcome and used to benefit Old Fort Western’s educational programs.
