Youth Nordic ski rentals, 3 to 6 p.m. in Wiscasset
The Midcoast Conservancy is partnering with the Outdoor Sports Institute to lease cross-country ski equipment for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Students can try on skis from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Conservancy office at 36 Water Street in Wiscasset, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at the YMCA in Damariscotta. The lease package costs $65. Wild Goose Chase, 9 a.m. Nov. 19, Falmouth
Join Maine Audubon for a wild goose chase in search of snow geese and greater white-fronted geese. There could be other sightings, such as the barnacle goose that was here in 2008. Meet at Gilsland Farm off Route 1. To learn more go to maineaudubon.org.
