CARRABASSETT VALLEY — A car was destroyed and a utility pole broken in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, but no one was seriously injured, police said.

Angus Eno, 24, of South Freeport, was driving on West Mountain Road around 2 a.m. when he lost control of the 2014 black Audi he was driving, according to Assistant Police Chief Randy Walker. The road is off Access Road near Sugarloaf ski resort.

The car veered off the road and hit a snowbank, Walker said, before also hitting a utility pole and breaking it at the base. The car, which was destroyed, then rolled over onto its roof.

Eno and the one other passenger in the car, Jacob Gore, were able to get out of the car on their own. Eno was treated at the scene for minor injuries, Walker said.

Walker said police don’t know why Eno lost control of the car.
