MAJOR ITEMS APPROVED: Voters agreed to take $25,000 from surplus to put siding on the Cornville Town Hall on West Ridge Road and to take another $25,000 from surplus to install a bathroom at the Town Hall to be hooked up to existing water and septic systems.

MAJOR ITEMS REJECTED: none

ATTENDANCE: 30

ELECTIONS: Melvin Blaisdell re-elected first selectman, uncontested, for a three-year term; Myron Moody Jr., re-elected, uncontested for a one-year term.

BUDGET: $497,800

MAJOR ITEMS APPROVED: Borrowing $21,000 and spending up to $56,000 from transfer station reserve accounts to trade in the town’s 1991 Ford roll-off truck and buy a new one. Paying off the Highway Department truck loan using $20,000 from the reserve account. Spending up to $25,000 to do ditching and replace culverts on South Solon Road and Meeting House Road in preparation for paving next year.

Residents also agreed to spend $9,700 from a sidewalk reserve account and $45,000 from a paving account to repair and repave sidewalks on South Main Street, School Street, Pleasant Street and part of North Main Street.

ELECTIONS: Selectwoman Sarah Davis, re-elected, unopposed for a three-year term. Road Commissioner Michael Foster and Town Clerk/Tax Collector Leslie Giroux, re-elected for a one-year term; and school board director Laura Layman, for a three-year term.
