A car rear-ended a school bus that had its red lights flashing as it stopped to drop off students in Standish on Thursday.

Capt. Scott Stewart of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said 18 elementary school students were on the School Administrative District 6 bus, but no one on the bus was injured.

The driver of the red 2006 Toyota, 27-year-old Stephen Odum of Raymond, suffered minor injuries, Stewart said.

Odum was issued a summons alleging imprudent speed and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle on a public way. Odum’s vehicle was totaled.

Stewart said the crash occurred on Route 113 around 3:28 p.m.

SAD 6 encompasses Standish, Buxton, Hollis, Limington and Frye Island.
