The Colonial Theatre Youth Troupe will perform the original musical, “All in the Planetary” April 28-30 at the Winthrop Performing Arts Center.

The musical will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Winthrop Performing Arts Center, 211 Rambler Road, Winthrop; 7 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Klahr Center, 46 University Drive, Augusta; and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at St. Michael’s Schoo, Western Avenue in Augusta.

The show runs approximately 45 minutes and is suitable for all ages. Admission is by donation.

The Troupe boasts students from Gilbert, Hussey, Farrington, Lincoln, Readfield, Manchester and St. Michaels schools. The Colonial Theatre Youth Troupe members auditioned for the program in December and have been attending classes and rehearsals since late January. Director Barbara Helen Baker says, “We have an unusually talented group of kids and dedicated parents.” Baker, who wrote and composed the piece at the request of a science teacher 30 years ago lamented, “Unfortunately, not much has changed since then, we’re still fighting pollution and greenhouse gases.”

Iona McCabe is the choreographer for the show and assisting the directors and designing the costumes is Cony High senior, Siuan Cody.
