LITCHFIELD — Blistered Fingers Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for June 14-18 at the Litchfield Fairgrounds, 30 Plains Road.

Blistered Fingers and the Bluegrass Music Association of Maine have gotten together to create a free, relaxed, informative three-day music program for children for ages 6-18 called Blistered Fingers Kids Academy. The focus is how to play, sing and perform bluegrass music. Students will bring their own instruments and will commit to the three-day program. The children all get a free T-Shirt and will perform a couple of songs as a group on Main stage.

Gates open at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 12. Weekend tickets for each festival will cover four days of music and camping.

Wednesday performers: Blue Mafia, The Misty Mountaineers and Back Woods Road.
