Regional School Unit 74, which includes Anson, North Anson, Solon, Embden and New Portland, coordinates a Summer Food Service Program which includes breakfast and lunch. Meals are served on scheduled days at the Carrabec High School, Carrabec Community School, Garret Schenck and Solon elementary schools. The program provides free meals for town recreation programs, summer school students and various day and week-long camp activities held at the schools and through out the communities.

The program also services sites located in the School Administrative District 59. Meals will be served at Madison Elementary School, Madison Junior High School and the Madison Main Street Park, to name a few.
