FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network, which includes Franklin Memorial Hospital, along with other members of MaineHealth, will host a community forum at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the Bass Room at the hospital.

The network has been discussing working more closely under a unified model to better meet the health care challenges that lie ahead. These include the ongoing public policy debate, new technology, and evolving best practices in medicine.

MaineHealth and FCHN leadership invite community members from Greater Franklin County to discuss what it would mean if FCHN and other members of the MaineHealth family operated under a system-wide budget overseen by single Board of Trustees. This proposed model would leave in place a local board overseeing the care provided in the community, leverage the resources of the $2.4 billion MaineHealth system to support FCHN, and require giving up some measure of local control.

Employees and the public are invited to participate. Light refreshments will be available.

An RSVP is requested from those who plan to attend by calling Jill Gray at 779-2555.
