Approximately 90 descendants of Joseph Boulette (1884-1957) and Emma Bolduc (1888-1920), Joseph Boulette and Adelia Roy (1898-1960), and Pierre Poulin (1897-1925) and Adelia Roy gathered recently to celebrate family connections.

The reunion was held at the Belgrade Community Center for All Seasons in Belgrade and included 90 guests spanning five generations and coming from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Georgia and Florida.

Guests were greeted at the registration table by Louise Profeto, granddaughter of Pierre and Adelia Poulin and daughter of Anita Poulin Menard. Other activities included an ancestry table hosted by Mary Boulette, of Waterville. Mary is married to Gene Boulette, grandson of Joseph and Emma. Younger guests swam in Great Pond, and played on the playground and participated in indoor basketball.

There were no electronic devices to be seen other than a laptop used to view the Little League World Series Regional playoffs in which Nolan Hobbs, great-, great-grandson of Joseph and Adelia was a participant.

This gathering was the result of a strong desire of Joseph and Adelia Boulette’s granddaughter, Ann Carrigan, of Winslow, to connect with as many family members as possible.
