Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will hold its annual Lights for Life service and tree lighting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the First Congregational Church and Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St., in Waterville.

A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. at the First Congregational Church across the street from the Hospice Community Center. The Rev. Mark Wilson will offer a non-denominational service.

The hospice staff, volunteers and members of the community take time each year to celebrate the memory of their loved ones who have died by participating in the Lights for Life program. Before the tree lighting at 6:15 p.m., light snacks and beverages will be offered at the HVWA Community Center.
