HINCKLEY — Good Will-Hinckley will hold its annual Festival of Trees, Friday, Dec. 8, through Saturday, Dec. 16. The Festival, now in its 25th year, features 23 Christmas trees decorated and sponsored by individuals or organizations, each with a unique theme and style.

The Festival will kick off Friday evening with a 7 p.m. tree lighting ceremony, doors open at 6 p.m., and the Bell Ringers will perform immediately afterwards.

Saturday, Dec. 9.

Doors open at 9 a.m. with a craft/vendor fair, including raffles, until 4 p.m. Triple C Dance Team will perform at 10 a.m. and the Kennebec Valley Chordsmen performs will perform at 2 p.m.; admission is free.

Sunday, Dec. 10

An elegant brunch and small live auction amongst the trees with entertainment provided by Uniquely Music for ticket holders; limited seating. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets cost $25, to reserve a ticket, visit gwh.org.

Monday, Dec. 11

Pictures with Santa are planned from 4 to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 13

Belfast Bay Fiddlers will perform at 6 p.m., admission will cost $5 for adults and is free for children younger than 12.

Thursday, Dec. 14

GWH will host a “Down Home” turkey dinner at 5 p.m. Admission will cost $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $8 for students 12-18 and is free for children younger than 12 with a paying adult. Tickets are available online at gwh.org or call 238-4280. The Lawrence High School Vocal Vibe Show Choir will perform at 6:45 p.m. free with paid dinner ticket or $5 for those older than 12.

Friday, Dec. 15

The Mount View Chamber Singers will perform at 7 p.m. for a $5 admission fee, free for children younger than 12.

Saturday, Dec. 16

Kid’s Day with Santa will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be kid’s cookie decorating and wood crafts (donated by Home Depot) station from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along with horse drawn wagon rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All for no charge.

The Festival of Trees is made possible through event sponsor SAPPI and other sponsors listed at gwh.org.

Tree viewing is free and open to the public from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. both Saturday’s, Monday and Wednesday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday.
