Monmouth/Winthrop Adult Education will hold a 15-week college readiness course from 5:30 to 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Winthrop Grade School. New students will be accepted until Feb. 8, which is the third class.
Students will explore careers and colleges, learn about the FAFSA and financial aid, scholarships, time management, note taking, test taking and research.
Those who attend can earn free college credit from the University of Maine at Augusta, Central Maine Community College and Kennebec Valley Community College. In addition to free college credit, the course is free and students who enroll will be eligible for college scholarships.
