Portland police released no new information Sunday about a 14-year-old Portland girl who has been missing for more than a week.

Hilda Vanessa Sanaguaray-Upaya

Hilda Vanessa Sanaguaray-Upaya, 14, was last seen by her family around 8 a.m. Jan. 27, when she ran away from a group of family members in the area of the Northgate Shopping Center at 91 Auburn St. after an argument. Portland police are asking for information about her whereabouts.

Police said the girl, who is known as Vanessa, has little cash and no access to credit or debit cards. She left her cellphone at home the day she disappeared.

Police said they have received information from classmates and friends about the girl, who lives in North Deering and attends Deering High School.

Police said Sanaguaray-Upaya uses aliases on social media, such as Valentina Diaz and Nelly Guaman. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.

Police said investigators are looking for other social media accounts maintained by the girl.

She is 5-foot-1 and weighs 100 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans when last seen by her family. She may be carrying a pink wallet.

Police asked anyone with information about her to call them at 874-8575.
