A Sidney man was arrested Monday in New Hampshire after a New Hampshire state trooper discovered 21 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in North Hampton, police said.
New Hampshire State Police said in a news release that Jakob Lemieux, 27, had been stopped while heading north at about 2:20 p.m. by Trooper Travis Brown for a moving violation. Brown conducted a road side investigation and found the marijuana in the trunk of Lemieux’s 1990 Chrysler Le Baron.
Lemieux was charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. He was arraigned Feb. 20 at Rockingham Superior Court.
