Evelyn LaCroix, 10 years old, from Skowhegan, won the 7th annual Madison Idol competition held March 24 at the Madison Junior High School. The runners up were 2nd place Scooter Berry, of Belgrade, and 3rd place Emily French, of Skowhegan.

This was not Evelyn’s first time performing on stage. She recently played the lead role in the production of “Annie” at the Waterville Opera House.

Madison Idol is an annual competition hosted by the Madison Business Alliance and sponsored by many area businesses. Evelyn is a fifth-grade home schooled student and is the daughter of Doug and Carrie LaCroix of Skowhegan.
