WILTON — The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on zoning laws for cultivation, use and manufacture of marijuana at 7 p.m. April 26 at the Town Office.

At an April 5 hearing, the board presented the zoning language and tables.

The board had proposed marijuana outdoor cultivation be allowed in the farm and forest zone, with planning board approval. It now proposes that cultivation be allowed in commercial, industrial and resource protection zones, with planning board approval.

With regard to marijuana sales, the board previously proposed that any sales take place at least 1,000 feet from any school, religious institution, day care or library, with no consumption on site. The new language decreases the distance to 500 feet.
