WATERVILLE — The community will celebrate National Volunteers Week by gathering for the REM Award Ceremony scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Waterville Opera House, 1 Common St. More than 60 REM Partner organizations will gather to honor exemplary volunteers representing 14 local organizations who depend upon volunteer help.
The community is welcome to attend. A PowerPoint presentation, created by Jackie Dalton, REM co-executive director, will provide an opportunity for the community to learn about the work of the organizations and honorees being honored.
Entertainment will include local musical combos and vocalists.
The REM Partner Community Directory for 2018 will be premiered at the award celebration.
A reception will follow in the Waterville Dance Studio on the 3rd floor of The Center.
Attendance is free, but donations to REM will be accepted. For more information, call 873-4444.
