P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center will host the Paces for PAWS 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Belfast Rail Trail in Belfast. Check-in for the race will begin at 7 a.m. The 1 Mile Family Fun Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Arrive for check-in by 9 a.m. Walk with your dogs, children or friends. Participants can wear silly hats or costumes.
To register in advance, visit Active.com. Fees are reduced to $25 for the 5K, $15 for children 13 and older and $5 for younger children if registered by May 23. Day-of registration fees will cost to $35 for the 5K, $25 for children 13 and older or $5 for younger children. Free event bandanas will be available to participants who register in advance while supplies last.
The event is a dog-friendly, dogs must be current with rabies and distemper vaccines and must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times during the event.
Proceeds from this event will go to support those animals at PAWS.
