Classical pianist Chiharu Naruse will perform at p.m. Sunday, May 20, at UMA Jewett Auditorium on University Drive in Augusta.
The performance is part of the Concerts at Jewett Series sponsored by University of Maine at Augusta College of Arts and Sciences and UMA Senior College.
Naruse has performed throughout the world in recitals and piano competitions and came to the U.S. in 2002 to study with the renowned Frank Glazer at Bates College.
In addition to maintaining a regular performance schedule, Naruse is currently a member of the applied music faculty at Bates College and is also a faculty member of the Portland Conservatory of Music.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for students and are free for children 1 and younger. Tickets are available at Pat’s Pizza at 292 State St. in Augusta, Dave’s Appliance at 59 Central St. in Winthrop and at the door.
