A Canaan woman described by a judge as a “major drug dealer in central Maine” who was responsible for distributing a “staggering” amount of drugs was sentenced Wednesday to nearly six years in prison.

Toni Juliano, 30, was also sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to five years of supervised release for possessing, with intent to distribute, fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine.

According to authorities, on Sept. 6, 2017 police raided a hotel room rented by Juliano and seized about 173 grams of heroin, 60 grams of crack and 113 grams of cocaine. In a second hotel room rented by Juliano, police seized an additional 100 grams of heroin, 91 grams of fentanyl, 88 grams of cocaine, and $38,222 in cash.

At the time, Juliano was on bail while awaiting sentencing on a state charge of drug trafficking .
