AUGUSTA — Beyond Borders, a farmers market created with the immigrant community will, have a trial opening from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital St.

The grand opening will be July 6, with the same hours and will continue through the summer months. The market will feature ethnic lunch items and a host of products, including fresh vegetables, meats, goat dairy products and many other farm products.

Hot lunches will be served every Friday beginning at noon and will feature sambusas, a Somali delicacy with spiced meat wrapped in fried dough. Bulk orders for sambusas and CSA shares will be available to pick up every Friday.
