BRUNSWICK — Three local students graduated May 26 from Bowdoin College during its 213th commencement ceremony. Bachelor of arts degrees were awarded to the class of 2018, comprising approximately 488 students from 41 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 19 other countries and territories.

They are Christian Eliot Heath, of Gardiner, who graduated cum laude, with a major in earth and oceanographic science; Savannah Marie Simmons-Grover, of Jefferson, who graduated with a major in visual arts and a minor in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies; and Nicholas Davis Barnes, of Readfield, who graduated with a major in mathematics and a minor in visual arts.
