During primary season I was so impressed by a candidate who stopped by not once but twice, followed up with a hand-written note, and sent two postcards asking for our vote. This candidate wanted to know our story and asked about our concerns.
For the first time I attended a house party and was inspired to change my party affiliation to vote in the primary. When I went to the polls the candidate greeted me with a hug and not only did she know my name she remembered my story. I was so impressed with this smart, energetic, young woman I had to vote for her in the primary and I will also vote for her in the upcoming election on Nov. 6.
Her name is Chloe Maxmin and she is running for state representative. I hope everyone in Jefferson, Whitefield, Chelsea, and Nobleboro will vote for her too.
