BRUNSWICK — Senior defenseman Thomas Stahlhuth’s power-play goal with 6:01 remaining held up as the game-winner in the Colby College hockey team’s 3-2 win over rival Bowdoin College Saturday night at Sid Watson Arena.

Stahlhuth’s goal, a low shot from the top of the right circle through traffic, gave the Mule captain a three-point night. Justin Grillo and Nick O’Connor scored first-period goals for Colby (7-7-3), which is now 6-1-1 against Bowdoin over the last four seasons.

Senior goalie Mack Burton, making only his second start of the season, made 29 saves for the Mules to earn the victory.

Albert Washco’s goal in the final minute pulled Bowdoin to within one while on the power play. Bradley Ingersoll also scored a first-period power-play goal for the Polar Bears (6-10-2).

O’Connor finished with two points on the night, as did junior Kienan Scott.
