The Viles Arboretum will host its annual Table Tour event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, on Hospital Street. More than 200 participants will gather on the Arboretum grounds for this winter event. They will snowshoe, ski and hike on groomed trails. The event involves healthy outdoor activity, supporting the Arboretum, and food. Participants get to indulge in some of the best culinary delights available from restaurants and food providers in and around Capital City. From hearty chowder to fresh baked breads, barbeque, Mexican and steaming hot turkey, dessert table and a cup of freshly brewed coffee or other beverage.

Mark DesMeules, the Arboretums’ executive director said, “This is the only event of its kind that I know of and it offers a healthy and fun opportunity to meet people, get outdoors, enjoy some terrific food, and support the many new programs and initiatives being developed at the Arboretum. The course is even more interesting with dozens of beautiful stone sculptures at various points along the trail and warming fires at every food station,” according to a news release from the Arboretum.

Tickets cost $15 until the end of December, after December, tickets will cost $20, $18 for members and $5 for children 10 and younger with no charge for toddlers. Group rates are available.
