Todd Thibodeau and Andy Noel from the Korner Store in Oakland were recently presented with Honorary Recruiter Certificates on Jan. 29 by Tech. Sgt. Lujan from the Air Force Career Center in Waterville, according to a news release from the career center.

Also recognized was Local Hero Doug Dickinson retired Master Chief Petty Officer with a Certificate of Appreciation. Dickinson has been key in support of deployed troops by sending out numerous care packages which has provided more than 100 airman with essential items that has boosted their spirits and morale.

The store has been supporting the Air Force since May 2015 by allowing the Air Force to post informational pamphlets and cards at their business.

Furthermore, the store has placed Air Force Flyers on their pizza boxes which helps spread the word about the Air Force with the best slice of pizza in town. If you don’t believe that it’s the best pizza in town just ask the children they give free pizza to every day after school. They are consistently giving back to the community.

In addition the support that the store has provided has assisted the Air Force Career Center to put 65 new active duty enlisted airmen into the Air Force.
