Sanford police said Thursday that officers and detectives had checked several locations and talked to friends and family of Ellie Thompson, but had not been able to locate her. She was found Thursday afternoon in Alfred after police received a tip, Sanford police said.
They looked for the teen, who had been missing since Tuesday, with assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.
