WATERVILLE — Peter D. Lowe of Brann & Isaacson Attorneys will speak during the Feb. 11 business breakfast of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce. He will cover new workplace laws, best practices for workplace safety and compliance, legal issues surrounding remote telework and key policies and practices for employers.

The breakfast will be held from 7:15 to 9 a.m. in the Colby/Coburn Room at the Best Western Plus, 375 Main St.

Lowe is a partner with the law firm of Brann & Isaacson, with offices in Lewiston and Portland and advises clients on labor and employment law and education law.

According to the news release, he serves as employment counsel for numerous employers in Maine, including L.L. Bean. He also represents schools and municipalities across Maine. Lowe edits the Maine Employment Law Letter and has been recognized as a Best Lawyer for representing management in employment law since 2013.

Lowe is a frequent presenter on employment law and has written and spoken extensively about employment issues during the Pandemic.

The chamber holds monthly informative presentations on a variety of educational business topics at Best Western Plus. The cost of the business breakfast is $20 for members, $27 at the door and for nonmembers. Breakfast is included with the reservation. All CDC regulations and guidelines are followed.
