BATON ROUGE, La. — Four University of Maine students recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi: Briana Quirion of Waterville, Anna Peterson of Chelsea, Melissa Garand of Manchester and Meredith Backus of Oakland.

Phi Kappa Phi collegiate honor society is the nation’s oldest and most selective for all academic disciplines.
